Section 504 Information

Section 504 is a federal civil rights law under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 designed to eliminate disability-based discrimination and ensure students with disabilities have equal access to educational programs, activities, and school facilities. It ensures that students with disabilities receive educational services and accommodations comparable to those received by non-disabled students.

To be eligible for a Section 504 Plan, a student must have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.
