Making our mark
In 2026, Plattsmouth Community Schools unveiled a refreshed visual identity — a new pitchfork "P," an updated color palette, and a consistent look across every building in the district. It's not a different school district. It's the same pride, the same principles, and the same community that's shown up for its kids since 1857 — just presented in a way that feels as sharp and forward-looking as the district itself.

Why We Updated Our Look
Plattsmouth has always been a district that invests in its future without losing sight of where it came from — the same spirit behind the 2019 bond that expanded our Career Academies, and the same spirit that's carried this community through generations of Blue Devils. Our new brand reflects that: rooted in tradition, but energized by growth. It's meant to feel modern and confident without losing what makes Plattsmouth, Plattsmouth.
That shows up in four principles that guide everything from our logo to how we talk about ourselves:
Proud - We find strength in community pride, Blue Devil identity, alumni connection, and school spirit.
Principled - We believe in character development, respectful behavior, and standing on our values: safety, trust, and dependability.
Prepared - We prepare students for the future through academic success, career readiness, and forward-thinking.
Progressive - We're not radical or flashy; we're thoughtfully forward-moving, balancing modernization with tradition.
The Look
Our logomark is a stylized "P" integrated with a pitchfork — a nod to our Blue Devils identity that's instantly recognizable across the district. It appears in a few standard configurations (horizontal, vertical, and a one-color version), and every school and program has its own variation built on the same system: Plattsmouth High School, Plattsmouth Middle School, Plattsmouth Elementary School, and Plattsmouth Early Childhood, along with a unified Blue Devils mark for athletics and activities.

Our fonts: Redzone for the logomark itself, paired with Montserrat for everything else — headlines, body copy, and athletics lettering.
A Few Ground Rules
Our logo is one of the most recognizable things about this district, and keeping it consistent is what makes it powerful. A few simple guidelines:
- Always use the official logo files — never recreate, redraw, or reinterpret the logomark.
- Don't stretch, distort, or change the proportions of the logo.
- Stick to the approved colors — no unauthorized color changes or patterns applied to the mark.
- Give the logo room to breathe. Don't crowd it with text or other graphics.
- Make sure the background works with the logo — busy or high-contrast photos can make it hard to read.
These guidelines apply to every version of the mark, from the district logo to each school's variation to the Blue Devils athletics identity.
