    Classes start at 8:15 and school dismisses at 3:30.  Breakfast is served at 7:30 am.  7th and 8th graders eat lunch at 11:10 and 5th and 6th graders eat at 12:40.  Inexpensive, healthy snacks are available for 5th and 6th graders around 11:00 am.


     The staffing of the building includes two adminisrators, two counselors, one school nurse and two secretaries in the office.  The teaching staff typically includes one teacher in the following areas per grade level, with some combinations. Reading, Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science.  Our exploratory classes include Family and Consumer Science, Keyboarding, Art, VocalMusic, Instrumental Music, Industrial Technology, Physical Education and Computer Technology. 

    Plattsmouth Community Middle School houses students in the fifth through eighth grade with an average class size of 125 students.


    PCMS offers sports in the 7th & 8th grade.  In the fall we have Volleyball for the girls and Football for the boys.  In the winter we have Basketball for girls & boys and also offer wrestling.  In the spring we have Track & Field for boys and girls.

    Plattsmouth Community Schools uses Measures for Academic Achievement (MAP) from the Northwest Evaluation Association to track the growth of individual students in Reading, Math and Language usage.
