Classes start at 8:15 and school dismisses at 3:00.  Breakfast is served at 7:45 am.  7th and 8th graders eat lunch at 10:59 and 5th and 6th graders eat at 11:50.  



    The staffing of the building includes two administrators, two counselors, one school nurse, two secretaries in the office and a School Resource Officer.  The teaching staff typically includes one teacher in the following areas per grade level: Math, Social Studies and Science. Language Arts and Reading typically has two teachers per grade level in addition to a Read 180 class.  Our exploratory classes include Family and Consumer Science, Keyboarding, Art, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Industrial Technology, Physical Education and Computer Technology. 



    Plattsmouth Community Middle School houses students in the fifth through eighth grade with an average class size of 111 students.



    PCMS offers sports in the 7th & 8th grade.  In the fall we have Volleyball and Football.  In the winter we have Basketball and Wrestling.  In the spring we have Track & Field. We also offer a Cross Country club in the Fall for 6-8th graders.



    Plattsmouth Community Schools uses Measures for Academic Achievement (MAP) from the Northwest Evaluation Association to track the growth of individual students in Reading, Math and Language usage.
