Welcome to the new school year at Plattsmouth Community Middle School! My staff and I are dedicated to the growth of all of our students academically, mentally, socially and physically. We are excited for the new year to start!
I would like to welcome you to Plattsmouth Community Middle School (PCMS) in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. I have served in the Plattsmouth Community School District since 1994. I have had experience as a teacher, coach, behavioral interventionist and have been the principal of PCMS since 2001. Prior to coming to Plattsmouth, I spent 7 years as a teacher and coach in the St. Edward Public Schools. I received my undergraduate degree in education from Peru State College and in 2001; I received my Master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I am currently working on my Specialist degree at Wayne State college.
Our mission here at PCMS is to work in partnership with parents and their children to ensure academic achievement, responsible behavior, and civic engagement. At PCMS, we hope to build lasting relationships with all of our stakeholders in the pursuit of that mission. Our goal is for every child to be successful and to take ownership of his or her education. With your support, we will be able to build a strong community of learners, where all students can grow and be successful.
Communication and parent involvement are very important to us. We will use various methods of communication such as newsletters, websites, classroom notes, e-mails, and phone calls to keep you informed of the instructional programs and activities in which your child is engaged. You can access our website by typing or clicking on the following web address http://www.pcsd.org/.
I encourage you to join in our effort through whatever means necessary and we look forward to meeting and talking with you! On behalf of the PCMS Staff, I would like to welcome you to our family. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
