Mr. Wallace

With 5 years of Middle School teaching experience and 16+ years of business experience, my goal is to help students connect math to the real world.  My favorite format is to have students use their prior knowledge to make the connection themselves in a guided setting.  Outside of math, music and theatre are interests of mine, and I try to find opportunities to use these as teaching tools as often as possible.

    Online Support

Middle School is the training setting for responsibility, in addition to content knowledge.  I encourage students to self advocate and get help when needed.  Assignments are recorded as missing, after the due date, until turned in.  They can be turned in for credit, up until the end of the grading term.  Parents and students can keep track of progress and get notification alerts of grades on our Infinite Campus site.  All assignment pages and directions are recorded there as well. This is especially helpful when students are absent or fail to turn an assignment in.

    In-Person Help

Monday through Thursday, I have a Study Hall class that meets from 2:45 to 3:30 PM.  Students that need help with an assignment or would like to make test corrections for half credit, can put themselves on my list.  It is located at the front of my classroom on the board.  Once again, the student is expected to self advocate, and take the initiative to sign up.
