My name is Ashley Classen, and I have been teaching Science here at Plattsmouth High since the fall of 2007. I am also the head volleyball coach at PHS, and I am the Destination Imagination coordinator for the district. I have a BS in Biology and Secondary Education from Peru State College. I also have an MA in Biology from UNK, and another one from Peru in Curriculum and Instruction. I live with my husband Andy and our two children, Ozzy and Kimber.

 As a member of the BEACH academy, I believe in incorporating a variety of different methods into my teaching as to accommodate all styles of learners. I also enjoy making connections between my science teaching and the prospective futures of my students. In addition to teaching different sciences, I like to focus on problem solving and critical thinking skills.
