Middle school is a big transition — and Plattsmouth Middle School is built for it. From the moment students arrive in 5th grade, we're focused on helping them find their footing: academically, socially, and as the young people they're becoming.
PCMS serves students in grades 5 through 8, bridging elementary school and the opportunities waiting at Plattsmouth High. Our teachers know their subject matter and they know their students — and in a community like Plattsmouth, that combination matters. Small enough to be known. Strong enough to prepare you for what's next.
Students at PCMS explore more than core academics. Band, choir, art, PE, health, library, and Introduction to Business Technology give every student a chance to discover what they're good at — and what they love. Our activities program adds to that, connecting students to their school and to each other.
We hold high expectations, and we support students in meeting them. That's been true here for a long time, and it doesn't change.
