John Campin —Principal
Mr. Campin began his career as a teacher at R.M. Marrs Middle School in Omaha, where he also served as Math Specialist and Instructional Facilitator. He spent a year as Assistant Principal at Highland Elementary in Omaha before becoming principal of Gomez Heritage Elementary School, a Pre-K through fourth-grade school. In 2020, Mr. Campin became principal of Plattsmouth Middle School, where he continues to lead with a focus on student growth and school pride.
Claude Michel — Assistant Principal and Activities Director
Mr. Michel began his career as a 7-12 Special Education teacher and coach at St. Edward Public School, where he spent five years before coming to Plattsmouth in 2000 as a sixth-grade special education teacher, also coaching football, powerlifting, and middle school track. After a year in that role, he was Middle School Assistant Principal for seven years, followed by seven years as Principal of Plattsmouth Elementary School. For the past twelve years, Mr. Michel has served as Assistant Principal and Activities Director at Plattsmouth Middle School, working to help every student learn from setbacks, turn challenges into opportunities, and grow into their best selves.
