Dear Families,
PMS will be starting a new behavior program called, "Behavior Intervention Support Team" (BIST) model to promote the concept of balancing "grace and accountability." We strive to get students what they need, while providing support during the obstacles in their way of learning.
As we look at holding students accountable, we focus on guiding our students to look at an issue and the problems it may create for them. By utilizing structure, applying preventative strategies, practicing skills and processing issues through questions, our goal is to provide consequences that will teach and protect our students.
Please take a moment to review our 2026 - 2027 BIST Parent Brochure link below.
The Plattsmouth Elementary School has been utilizing the BIST program for a number of years. Most students will be familiar with the program unless the student has moved to our school in middle school.
