Shannon Honold — Principal
Mrs. Honold is in her second year as Principal of Plattsmouth Elementary School, capping a 27-year career in education. She began as a first-grade teacher, later served as a school counselor, and is now in her sixth year as an elementary principal. Each role has shaped her guiding philosophy: always do what's best for kids. Mrs. Honold looks forward to partnering with PES families throughout their child's educational journey.

Troy Niehus — Assistant Principal
Mr. Niehus is in his 21st year with Plattsmouth Community Schools and his 24th year in education overall, serving as Assistant Principal of Plattsmouth Elementary School. He values the opportunity to work alongside PES's dedicated staff, talented students, and supportive families every day, and takes real pride in being part of the Plattsmouth Elementary community.
